 The husqvarna new BC625A chipper is available with three engine chain saws options, two gasoline and one diesel. the gasoline engines are an air-cooled honda gx620 engine rated 20 hp at saws 3600 rpm and an air-cooled kohier command engine rated 25 hp at 3600 husqvarna rpm. the optional diesel chain engine is a water-cooled, three-cylinder perkins saws 103-10 engine rated 23.5 hp at 3600 rpm. all of the engines include an hour meter and an engine shutdown protection husqvarna system. * i use a 15-kilowatt pto onan generator to run the house during extended power outages. i bought chain it used last year for $1,100. saws and husqvarna i also have a 4.5-kilowatt engine-driven chain generator with welder capabilities.* saws i bought a generac 45/60-kilowatt pto generator husqvarna and chain for my hog farm because i got tired of my electric company not wanting to replace a fuse in a timely manner.* we use two onan 45-kilowatt generators saws with ford engines. they have been very reliable. they cost $15,000 each, plus $1,000-$2,000 for switches, and even more for installation and hookup. it is expensive, but we need the large kilowatt output to power 2 acres of greenhouse production.
