 Visually inspect the upper radiator hose for pressure marks and traces of rubbing at the closest point of contact to the oil filter housing cast boss (see illustration). If traces of rubbing are found, the upper radiator hose must be replaced with the new style remingtonchainsaw hose (See Parts Information).NOTE: A modified hose was used in production from approximately mid-November 1995 through June 1996, which included an extra rubber pad attached to the outside of the hose in the critical area. If traces of rubbing are found on the rubber pad remingtonchainsaw area of this type of hose, it must also be replaced with the new style hose. Visually inspect the oil filter housing for any sharp edges or burrs on the casting boss. If a sharp edge or casting burr is found on the boss, it must be removed using sand paper or a fine file. The engine drives the cutter disc through a belt drive system and a tensioning idler pulley The belt, manufactured by Payco, has a section of 2V-B and two groove sheaves on both the remingtonchainsaw engine and cutter disc shaft. * Don''t hold the spray wand "head on" to the siding. This drives dirt into the surface rather than washing it away. Hold the wand at a 45-degree angle to the siding and at a distance that yields the best cleaning results without gouging wood or denting metal or vinyl.* Work small areas at a time. To prevent streaks, start washing from the bottom and work up. For even cleaning, use remingtonchainsaw and remingtonchainsaw long, overlapping strokes. Rinse the siding by working from the top down.* Avoid driving water up behind the siding by keeping the spray stream level. Use an extension spray wand for reaching higher places.
